TRAD TOUR ’24 – OCT. 25 TO NOV. 2–Wexford, Kilkenny, Trim, Malahide
Donie Carroll and Marianne MacDonald invite you to join us as we travel to the Ancient East of Ireland to celebrate Samhain (aka Halloween). We will be traveling from Dublin to Wexford, Kilkenny, Trim and back to Malahide for 8 days of history, culture, sightseeing and music, music, music.
We will be guided through our eight days with our great friend and singing driver/guide, Seamus Buckley, as he has for the past 13 years. We are in safe hands with Seamus as he takes us to out-of-the ordinary touring sites (along with many familiar sites), many sites of historical and cultural importance and finds us friendly venues along the way for meals, pints and music.
Music is an integral part of Trad Tours since 1997 and we guarantee hefty daily doses of music including sessions, mini-concerts and sing-alongs. We incorporate our tour participants, many of which play instruments and/or sing, and we invite local artists to join us whenever and wherever possible. All music events are open to family and friends from any of our locations.
Touring will include visits to: Avoca, Glendalough, Father Murphy Centre Boolavogue, Vinegar Hill, JFK Homestead New Ross, Kilkenny Castle, Walking Tour of Kilkenny, Leap Castle (most haunted castle in Ireland), Holycross Abbey, Trim Castle, Puca Festival Trim, Newgrange, Hill of Tara.
